Native American Faciity Construction

We recognize the cultural and spiritual significance in the Native American projects that we build, and we participate fully in supporting those aspects of the tribes’ project goals as part of our construction process and planning. Working with each tribe requires diligent and proactive preconstruction services and clear communication of the alternatives that are available for consideration.

Several of our projects have been completed under a design/build contractual relationship, and multiple projects have won national awards from the Design/Build Institute of America for Excellence in Design and Construction.

"My compliments go out to Mortenson for using tribal preference when hiring and contracting for this project. Thanks to them, many of our tribal members have had an opportunity to build a part of their business and future. The communication flow between casino management, Board of Directors, business committee, architects, designers, and the project team has been outstanding. Every issue is addressed, and their prompt responses are very much appreciated."

" . . . Mortenson immediately established a strong working relationship with the Quileute Tribal project team and our community.  The extra time that the company placed aside to understand tribal operations and community visions with the intent to integrate our culture components into our new facility was extra special to our Tribe.  The respect and sensitivity they showed to our traditional values certainly made a significant difference."
