The Northwest River Water Treatment Plant improves the quality of water for the City of Chesapeake, Virginia through the use of Reverse Osmosis Membrane Treatment. This project included the construction of the new chemical and membrane treatment facilities and renovations to the existing filtration treatment facilities. Utilizing four each 2 MGD Surface Water Membrane Trains and two each 2 MGD Groundwater Membrane Trains, the plant improvement removes objectionable sale from the Chesapeake's sole water supply.
