A Diverse Perspective in Emerging Markets
Throughout my career, I’ve gotten to experience some very unique markets: Lincoln, NE; Pittsburgh, PA; Tallahassee, FL—spanning all the way to the real estate industry in Puerto Rico, where I focused on hospitality and master planning development sites. This has allowed me to broaden my perspective and gain valuable insights into different market cultures, bringing those lessons learned and solutions to Nashville. What I have learned along the way, is the importance of community engagement and the impact it has on the success of a project.
There is No One-Size-Fits-All Approach
As a developer, it is imperative when entering new markets to immerse yourself in the community and genuinely listening to stakeholders' feedback. There is no one-size-fits-all strategy. By understanding the challenges, goals and unique characteristics of each market, I work with our team to ensure the project is tailored to the customer, users, neighbors and market. This all starts and ends with the community. It’s important to actively participate in neighborhood meetings, community events and organizations to build strong relationships and gain valuable insights about what matters most.

I love food, and I get to explore the different communities one restaurant at a time.
