Let’s Redefine the Project Experience
At Mortenson, we are always looking for ways to improve the experience of our team members, especially those who work on our project sites. That's why we launched the Future Field Office Initiative (F2O), a strategic project that aims to provide comparable experiences and facilities provided in our corporate offices to team members working in the field. The initiative includes upgraded furniture, bathrooms, and field offices for project sites, designed and built by Mortenson.
We believe that the F2O initiative will help to provide a safer, healthier, and more productive environment for our project team members, as well as enhance our collaboration, communication, and innovation. The F2O initiative reflects how serious Mortenson is about improving the workplace of our project team members, who are the backbone of our success.
As part of the F2O initiative, we have designed and built the first modular Plan-of-Day (POD) office to pilot the program on a real project. The F2O POD is a 2-unit modular building with better lighting, acoustics, flooring, HVAC, furniture, and technology, which ships to projects in a complete package. The F2O POD is currently deployed at the Meta RMN data center project site in Rosemount, MN.

The F2O POD is a pilot project to gather data on how to improve the project office, which has remained largely the same and experienced little innovation over many decades.
