What is SASE?
The Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers (SASE) is dedicated to advancing Asian Americans in the Sciences, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) fields to achieve their full career potential. SASE provides API-targeted leadership development, award recognition, STEM competitions, and community. They are a go-to organization for talent and leadership serving over 10,000 people including professionals, students, companies, and government organizations.
SASE was founded in 2007 after a realization that organizations that existed with other affinity groups in mind — the Society of Women Engineers, the National Society of Black Engineers, and the Society of Hispanic Engineers — there was a need for an organization that represented all of the pan Asian cultures so students and professionals can connect and feel supported.

Building a career path with flexibility.
Mohana was inspired after a Mortenson site visit in college. After an internship and a full-time field position, her hard work and the flexibility to build her career path led to a pre-construction position where she can follow her passion for design. Join our team and #FindYourReason.
Diversity, equity, and inclusion
The Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) workforce at Mortenson has doubled since 2015 and remains 4 times higher than the national average in the construction industry. As we continue our allyship with the AAPI community, we will continue to bring awareness to inequalities in the construction industry and work towards positive change.
