COMMUNITY IMPACT

Passionate about the communities we work in

Mortenson Chairman Emeritus Mort Mortenson sums it up: “There is no greater gift we can give others than our time and treasure. We do so enthusiastically, with a smile on our face and delight in our eyes.”

You can’t mandate such an eagerness to help others. It comes from the heart and is as ingrained in the company’s culture as is a desire to deliver an exceptional experience to our partners and customers. Whether it involves helping build a home, mentoring a student or business, providing food for the hungry and holiday gifts for those in need, or merely offering a helping hand or some type of expertise, Mortenson team members approach each effort, responsibly and with a strong belief that they are simply doing the right thing.

The annual charity golf tournament is always a favorite among our team and our industry partners, and we're so thankful for the support of our generous tournament sponsors in making this event possible. We're thrilled with this year's turnout, and for the opportunity to further CPRD’s ongoing efforts to create unity for all through movement and art.

Annual Charity Golf Tournament

The Denver office selected Gold Crown Foundation (GCF), a nonprofit which provides youth access to sports and STEAM programs throughout Colorado and the surrounding states as it’s 2023 Community Impact Partner of the year. As one of the state’s largest youth sports providers, GCF offers sports and enrichment programs to more than 15,000 kids annually across the state. GCF is focused on increasing program accessibility and offering support for low-income families, including distributing $500,000 annually in scholarship opportunities. Together with sponsor contributions, Mortenson’s fundraising efforts resulted in an $105,000 donation to GCF!

“We are honored to partner with Mortenson Denver as their 2023 Community Impact Partner,” said Kevin Petty, President of GCF. “Mortenson’s mission, values and impact in Colorado aligns perfectly with our vision at GCF. This partnership will allow us to continue to offer our community-building services to more kids across the state, providing greater access to our athletic enrichment opportunities, programs and facilities.”
