Celebrating Our LGBTQ+ Community
Mortenson is building a culture of inclusion year-round, and for our teams and communities, Pride Month is a special time to celebrate LGBTQ+ team members and their contributions.
We kicked off June by raising the Pride flag at our headquarters in Minneapolis, MN, and holding a company-wide educational panel to share how teams have fostered a welcoming environment in our offices and at project sites across the United States.
Our team members are also celebrating Pride in their local communities! This year, our Data Center team set up a booth at DeKalb Pride in Illinois. Our team in Utah spent the day at the Salt Lake City Pride Festival. In Minnesota, our Minneapolis team brought excitement to the Golden Valley Pride Festival with interactive games and fun prizes for community members who stopped by the booth. The day was filled with fun and meaningful conversations, highlighting the importance of inclusion and support.
At our headquarters, our Federal Contracting team hosted ‘Pride Stride,’ a walk together to reflect on how we can continue to support the LGBTQ+ community. The event fostered a sense of unity and commitment to creating a more inclusive workplace.
Pride is an important part of Mortenson’s culture of inclusion and belonging. From coast to coast, our team members are dedicated to promoting acceptance and celebrating diversity. As we look forward to more Pride celebrations in the future, we remain committed to fostering an environment where everyone feels valued and respected. Our entire team values the opportunity to make this month special, and we are excited to continue Building with Pride.
