Solar from North to South
Our Solar group began the year in the community by first educating kids about the construction industry, then helping adults put their best-dressed foot forward when entering the workforce!
On the Tierra Bonita solar project in Texas, team members visited a local elementary school for career day. The team led students through ‘bend & stretch,’ gave each child their own PPE (Personal Protection Equipment), shared information about various jobs in the construction industry, and enjoyed some treats. The class especially enjoyed seeing the big “toys” (heavy machinery) and helping each other through stretches. The team had a blast sharing that no matter where you come from or what education you have, you can have a fun and successful career in construction!
A group of HQ-based women on the Solar team volunteered at Dress for Success Twin Cities Their mission is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire, and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.
