SEATTLE – (April 11, 2017) – Mortenson Construction this week marked the topping out of the 41-story AMLI Arc apartment tower at 1800 Boren Avenue, inching the 429,000-square-foot project one step closer to its completion date of November 2017. In addition to its 393-units of luxury apartments, the tower also has amenity spaces on the 12th and 41st floors.
The Mortenson team broke ground on AMLI Arc in October 2015. The project shares a half-block site with the neighboring Tilt49 11-story office tower. Both buildings also share a 509-stall underground parking garage.
Situated in Downtown Seattle’s Denny Triangle, AMLI Arc and other new developments have formed a gateway connecting the downtown, South Lake Union and Capitol Hill neighborhoods. The projects are revitalizing Denny Triangle from an area of surface parking lots and auto service centers, into a true 18-hour urban community with luxury residences, Class A office buildings, restaurants, retail and hotels.
“Mortenson is thrilled to help bring the newest addition to the Seattle skyline,” said Dan Lessor, development executive for Mortenson Development. “AMLI Arc will make a great home for hundreds of new residents looking to live within walking distance of SLU, Cap Hill and Belltown.”
The glass-and-metal-panel residential tower will offer residents sweeping views of the Seattle skyline and – on a clear day – Mount Rainier, Puget Sound, Lake Union and the Olympic Mountains. The apartments will come in three varieties, ranging from units with exposed concrete ceilings and loft-inspired interior design, to luxury penthouses with condo-quality finishes. Amenities within the apartment tower will include a private party room with outdoor dining area for intimate gatherings, chef’s kitchen for hosting larger parties, an expansive fitness center and yoga studio, a media room, conference rooms and co-working spaces, a large rooftop deck with outdoor grilling areas, a bicycle maintenance and storage area and a pet spa.
