38,890 SF AMCM facility
This project involved the design and construction of a type II aircraft maintenance hangar and airborne mine countermeasures (AMCM) facility at NAS Norfolk, VA. The 54,142 SF hangar facility consists of a hangar bay for repair and maintenance of helicopters, a two-story administrative area with first floor shops and storage, and second-floor offices and meeting rooms. The adjacent 38,890 SF AMCM facility supports the repair and maintenance of minesweeping equipment. The project scope also included over 590,000 SF of concrete aircraft parking apron and the historic renovation of the Chapel in the Woods, which was converted into office space.
