Minneapolis Public Service Building / Minneapolis, MN
What does it take to improve access and services for the community?
The driving force for this modern new building in downtown Minneapolis was to bring together employees scattered at nine different locations and also improve access to services for residents and customers.
In conjunction with the existing City Hall, it creates a centralized campus to meet the City’s office space needs downtown. The first and second floors will house public spaces where the City can deliver services, floors 3-9 will include employee office spaces, and the tenth floor will provide employee common spaces, including outdoor spaces and a green roof. The City plans to achieve LEED Gold certification, as well as incorporate aspects of the Living Building Challenge.
