The Harold Washington Library Center, located in downtown Chicago, is a modern building, constructed with historic design. The library features a grand atrium lobby with three tiers, six library floors, and a two-story administration penthouse. The library, a joint venture with Schal Associates, also houses restaurants and a variety of open public spaces.
