The newly rebranded and renovated Hyatt Regency Coralville Hotel & Conference Center is owned by the City of Coralville and anchors the Iowa River Landing, which includes Xtream Arena, restaurants, retail stores, and other attractions. The hotel, originally a Marriott Hotel and Conference Center was built in 2006 and partially renovated in 2019 by Mortenson.
The renovation includes a complete refresh of the 286 guest rooms and adds two suites to increase the room count to 288. Guest rooms include local artwork, new smart TVs and smart lighting, custom furniture and flooring, and new beds. The team also added a new Regency Club lounge to the first floor, upgraded the fitness center and resurfaced the pool and spa.
The Edgewater Grille & Bar was converted to a new restaurant concept called the Watermill Kitchen and Bar, which opened on April 10, 2024. The restaurant renovation introduces a vibrant and nostalgic dining experience to the area. By sourcing local ingredients, the restaurant will genuinely embody Midwestern hospitality. The space features an outdoor patio to serve hotel guests, locals, and other visitors.
