Located at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, P.F. Chang's redefines the mezzanine level of the renovated North Satellite. Spanning 6,800 square feet, this flagship location for the globally recognized brand features a spacious dining room and bar with stunning panoramic views of the airfield. Reflecting P.F. Chang's signature style, the restaurant showcases high-end finishes, ambient lighting, and a vibrant atmosphere, creating a unique and memorable experience for travelers.
Passengers can easily spot P.F. Chang's from the North Concourse floor, where the brand's iconic female figure and Chinese dragon decorate the boat-shaped bar on the second level. As guests ascend the escalators, they are greeted by the renowned P.F. Chang's horse statue before reaching the entrance.
Inside, the restaurant offers an array of upscale dining experiences. Guests can enjoy panoramic views from the bar, observe the concourse from perimeter seating, or dine at one of the elegantly lit tables. The space also includes a convenient grab-and-go area, a multi-station wok line, and a well-equipped back-of-house with two walk-in freezers, ensuring smooth kitchen operations.
The project involved extensive mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) work to maintain high standards of efficiency and comfort. Key elements included routing kitchen hood grease ducts from the wok line to the roof, which required precise coordination with design partners and the Port of Seattle.
Furthermore, routing most MEP services beneath the deck impacted tenant spaces below, necessitating several plan review iterations with the Port of Seattle. Detailed presentations of under-slab work and access requirements were essential to secure timely approvals and ensure seamless integration with tenant operations.
Given the project's prominent location above active tenant areas, careful coordination was crucial to minimize disruption. The team worked closely with the Port of Seattle and tenants to establish work hours and integrate them into the project schedule, effectively balancing operational impact with project goals.
