From the picturesque town of Gustavus, Alaska, near Glacier Bay National Park, Aaron Kearns began his career with Mortenson in 2014 after earning his degree in Construction Management from Brigham Young University. An experienced Project Manager for the Seattle Office, Aaron is well known for effectively leading projects in diverse markets, including healthcare, higher education, hospitality, and water infrastructure. His impressive portfolio includes notable projects such as the University of Washington Medical Center Expansion Phase II, the Swedish Block 95 Podium and Tower, the University of Washington Computer Science & Engineering Building, and the Astra South Lake Union Hotel.

As a Project Manager, Aaron excels in team coordination and relationship-building. He drives team success through effective collaboration, overseeing daily site operations, and managing project finances. Aaron places a high priority on clear communication with clients, subcontractors, and team members. He embraces project challenges and works closely with architects, clients, and trade partners to achieve project goals and deliver a flawless final product.

Passionate about his field, Aaron is enthusiastic about the development of new materials, tools, and building techniques and is excited to witness advancements in leadership training. Aaron’s commitment to sustainability is evident in his active contributions to Mortenson’s Planet Committee, where he strives to enhance the company’s environmental impact through innovative green practices and initiatives.

Outside of work, Aaron is a devoted family man. He and his wife, Hillary, are raising three wonderful children: Christopher, Penelope, and Holly. Aaron is a passionate sports enthusiast who loves watching different sports, especially college football and basketball. He also enjoys playing sports, particularly basketball. Apart from sports, Aaron loves spending time outdoors and participating in activities like fishing, hiking, and camping. He is actively engaged in his community through church and youth programs, and he has recently found fulfillment in coaching his son’s soccer team.
