Carl is the Vice President Design Phase Management on our Energy Storage & Solutions team who is based out of our Denver, CO office. Since joining Mortenson more than 11 years ago, Carl has played an integral leadership role in starting and developing the company’s electrical engineering capabilities and expanding the technical depth of knowledge throughout the energy groups. Over Carl’s decade with Mortenson, he has built a reputation as an adept problem solver, communicator, and technical coach for our teams, and has built a resume on both strong project performance and creative pursuit work.
As a Vice President Design Phase Management, Carl has the responsibility for overseeing Design Phase Management in Energy Storage & Solutions and ensuring this group continues to advance and develop our pre construction capabilities.
Prior to his time with Mortenson, Carl worked as a transmission design engineer for Ulteig Engineers and as a project engineer for Henkels & McCoy on wind farm and distribution electrical projects. With this prior experience in design engineering and construction operations, Carl provides a broad knowledge-base for a wholistic design phase management approach.
Carl is a licensed in Minnesota as a Professional Engineer. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin.
