Corey Furst
Director Of Operations | Salt Lake City
As Director of Operations, Corey Furst leads all development, sales and operations within the Salt Lake City market while continuing to expand Mortenson’s services and differentiated offerings in development, design and construction. Bringing over 25 years of construction experience, Furst initially joined Mortenson’s Federal Contracting Group as a project executive and has led several major projects for the U.S. Coast Guard, Marine Corps, and Kings Bay for the Navy. After moving to Salt Lake City in 2020, Furst led the Eagle Mountain Data Center campus effort.

I’m most proud of seeing my team members grow and succeed. Having worked on many Mortenson projects with talented teams, the Kings Bay and Data Center projects have fantastic team members that have done exceeding well on very challenging projects.
FUN FACTS
- My wife, Brenda, is a fellow Mortenson team member. She has been with the company for almost 19 years, and my daughter is at the University of Utah.
- I hold a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Minnesota.
INTERESTS
- I love spending quality time with my family – especially travel and food.
- I’m a huge foodie. I love Utah’s food scene and have a special place in my heart for doughnuts.
- I love the outdoors and enjoy mountain biking, hunting, fishing, skiing and snowboarding.
- Home projects have always been a passion; I enjoy seeing the results of hard work come to life.
- I am passionate about raising funds for Alzheimer’s treatment.
