Cori Palmer Joined Mortenson's Seattle group in 2009 after graduating from the University of Puget Sound and has since been a trailblazer for women and young professionals across the industry. In her current role as Market Executive, Cori is responsible for fostering and maintaining relationships with clients to partner on their business objectives and growth plans. Cori has expertise in a wide range of markets, including healthcare, commercial, hospitality, industrial, and water infrastructure. Through her exceptional use of listening, communication, problem-solving, and awareness of market trends, Cori collaborates with teams and partners to develop pristine solutions that benefit every party involved. Cori makes it her mission each day in the office to help create and lead an environment where everyone feels welcomed, valued, and motivated to put their best foot forward to work together with our customers and partners to build lasting facilities for our communities.
Cori finds great joy in the variety of people she works with daily - whether it be other phenomenal Mortenson professionals, customers, design partners, or trade partners. She enjoys establishing solid working relationships with individuals throughout a project's planning and construction and transitioning into new projects with a brand-new mix of individuals. Cori gains encouragement from the surge of advancement and forward thinking across the construction industry - between a focus on inclusion and diversity, building smarter with less carbon impact, and creating tools and processes to build more safely and efficiently; she looks forward to the growing opportunity for positive change.
Cori is passionate about the advancement of women and broadening overall diversity in the industry. She is actively involved in Commercial Real Estate for Women (CREW) - Seattle, where she served on the board of directors for three years before serving a three-year term as Chapter President (2019). Cori is also an active member of the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee within CREW and fulfilled the role of Mentor throughout CREW's 2021 Mentorship program. She remains an active member of the CREW organization locally and nationally, in addition to other industry organizations, and continues to make room for other women in the industry.
Cori and her husband live in Monroe with their 5-year-old son, 3-year-old daughter, and sweet Golden Retriever. They enjoy spending time outside as a family gardening, biking, camping, boating, or playing on the water or in the snow.
