Extensive and Diverse Experience in Construction Management
I began my career with Mortenson in renewable energy in 2005 after graduating with honors with a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Southern California. I've worked on construction projects in over 10 states, ranging from Hawaii to upstate New York. Alongside these varied geographies, I've also tackled diverse markets, including football stadiums and nuclear submarine bases. The common thread in my construction management experience is the scale and complexity of the projects. I'm well-versed in the planning, logistics, and teamwork required to launch $500M+ mega-projects, as well as the technical focus and communication needed to deliver advanced facilities with first-time quality.
Commitment to Renewable Energy and Battery Ecosystems
Driven by my passion for renewable energy, I focus on the manufacturing of battery cells and the broader battery material ecosystem. I'm a member of the NAATBatt International Manufacturing and Recycling committees and actively involved with the Volta Foundation Women in Batteries.
A Project’s Larger Purpose in Clean Energy
A project is always more than just the project, which is why I love working in clean energy. I focus on the customer's mission and goals to translate the same message to the design and construction of their new facility. When the entire construction team is inspired by a vision of a greener future, the daily tasks become part of something larger than ourselves. While working on the Kings Bay Nuclear Submarine base, the Navy Commanders regularly reinforced the larger role the construction project played in our nation’s strategic defense. The construction team was inspired and motivated by our customer’s goal. When everyone is working toward a common goal, amazing things can happen.
MORTENSON MOMENT
I love to travel and meet new people, so working with great teams in remote areas all across the country is fulfilling.
