Ivan joined Mortenson in 2021 and currently serves as a Business Development Executive in the Energy Storage group. His responsibilities include developing and growing customer relationships, coordinating projects with all E&I groups, and leading pursuits through contract execution. The best part of his job is collaborating with passionate and brilliant team members.

Ivan earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and his MBA from Northwestern University. He has 11 years of experience in the power industry working with utilities and developers as an engineer, project manager and consultant. He began his career engineering natural gas and coal power plants and is now focused on energy storage and renewables.

Ivan has helped industry leading customers bring transformational progress to reality in states such as Arizona, California, Colorado, and Texas.

Ivan is married to Lindsay and they have two sons Niko, 4 and Novak, 1 and one tiny cat in a dog’s body, Ruka. He is a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and an avid traveler who has visited over 20 countries, usually with a stop to visit family in Serbia. Despite never running, he completed the Chicago marathon to win a bet. In his down time, he enjoys watching tennis or finding a quiet hour to dive into a video game.
