A Problem “Finder”

Problem solving is a cornerstone of our work in construction and real estate development. While it’s good to be a problem solver, it's better to be a problem finder. When you’re able to identify problems ahead of time, the solving part naturally follows. It boils down to being a proactive solutions provider instead of a reactive partner. For me, this takes form in asking good questions, being more interested than trying to be interesting, and making an intentional effort to understand our customers’ core challenges. When we anticipate issues before a shovel is in the ground, we’ve done our job well.

Trust is a Verb

Trust is not just a concept, but an action. It takes work to get to know someone on a personal level – know their family, where they grew up, how they spend their time – to really understand what they value and what makes them tick. The maintenance of a trusting relationship is just as important as the effort it takes to build it from the start.

When we hold a “We Before Me” mindset and foster dependable teams, we increase transparency, improve collaboration, and ultimately enhance outcomes. This continual work is foundational in creating win-wins and mutually beneficial partnerships.

Relentless Refinement

Starting my career in architecture and real estate development has allowed me to recognize opportunities for growth in the various aspects of our industry.

These insights have instilled in me a commitment to continuous improvement. From advancing virtual design and construction efforts to streamlining day-to-day processes, I want our teams and organizations to be better because we’ve worked together.

PERSONAL PASSIONS

I’m passionate about bridging the gap between organizations (private, public, for-profit, non-profit). In 2024, I graduated from Leadership Tennessee NEXT, a statewide leadership program spanning geographic and industry boundaries with a mission to prepare leaders to better serve their local and professional communities.

Over the years, I've volunteered with Renewal House - a local organization offering housing for mothers recovering from substance abuse disorders and their children. I’ve built outdoor toys for the children, moved furniture for their residential facilities, and helped with landscaping. I have three children and know this work is impactful for future generations.
