Keith Jurgens
Design Phase Executive | Seattle
After receiving his Bachelor's in Construction Management from the University of Nebraska, Keith dove head first into the world of construction. He developed an early passion and experience in preconstruction management and brings more than 35 years of experience delivering successful projects to our team upon joining the organization in 2014. He is passionate about turning over every stone as he searches for ways to maximize value during the design phase and ultimately deliver a quality product. His skill of envisioning the end product with limited information and knowledge of constructability to map out plans for our clients demonstrates his precision and expertise.
As a Design Phase Executive at Mortenson's Seattle office, Keith provides advanced project leadership during the design phase related to customer experience, schedule, scope, budget, design, and planning, resulting in a smooth transition to construction. He is passionate about delivering results to owners and designers and ultimately exceeding the expectations of both clients and team members.
In addition, Keith continually advocates for mass timber/CLT construction and is a member of the AIA Mass Timber Committee, Woodworks Association, and Advancing Mass Timber. When envisioning the future of building, Keith most looks forward to innovation within the field and taking what has been done for years, challenging these norms, and pushing people to be creative and think outside the box. He also looks forward to the integration of more sustainable methods of construction and is a proud Associate of the Design-Build Institute of America Seattle Chapter.
Outside of construction, Keith dabbles in a multitude of different hobbies. He enjoys tour riding motorcycles as well as spending his time restoring antique ones. You can also catch him enjoying a lovely bottle of wine on the occasion and ranching cattle. He is a proud part-owner of a cattle ranch and an active member of the Nebraska Cattleman.
