Lindsey Thompson

Capital Markets Analyst | Real Estate Development

As Capital Markets Analyst, Lindsey provides support for the asset management, capital markets and development teams in each of Mortenson’s regional offices – Chicago, Denver, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Nashville, Phoenix, Portland, Salt Lake City and Seattle. She works with a multitude of asset types including data centers, healthcare, hospitality, industrial, life sciences, multi-family and office. Her key responsibilities include business development research, prosecting land for each of our product types, actively investigating market trends and curating strategic development plans for new business sectors. She also aids our Asset Management Director with our national portfolio from the inception of the project, through construction and stabilization of the asset. She assists with the sale of assets as we continue to roll over our portfolio. She enjoys being part of the development process and building assets that will improve the lives of our community members.

Lindsey started her commercial real estate career in 2018 at JLL as an Insurance Analyst in debt service and spent three years as a Capital Markets Analysts on the multi-family investment sales team in Minneapolis. She specialized in financial analysis, creating broker opinion of value presentations and offering memorandums, and building research reports for multi-family assets in various states across the country. Prior to real estate, Lindsey was a recruiter for a national insurance firm.  

Lindsey earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Wisconsin – River Falls. She is an active member of NAIOP’s Developing Leaders program and currently leads the Mentorship Committee. In her spare time, Lindsey can be found with her nose in a book, baking chocolate chip cookies, hiking and spending time with family and friends.
