[SAFETY DIRECTOR]
Safety at the Center
Safety is not the enemy of productivity. In fact, it’s a critical component and partner of production and quality. When we put safety at the center of production, we yield an exceptional experience for Team Members, Trade Partners, and Customers.
Great Leaders Ease the Load
Our job as leaders is to make the work easier and safer for our craft. We do this by being present: showing up at the jobsites and engaging with our craft team members to understand their work and understand stumbling blocks that may be holding them up. Then, we find ways to remove those barriers so the work can be done not only successfully and efficiently but also safely.
Empowering People
Our goal is to ensure that every person who works on a Mortenson jobsite goes home safely to their family each night. We do this through an extensive planning process where we foresee risks and create plans to mitigate them as we execute the work. What really makes this successful is our team members working to hold each other accountable; we empower our folks to find the right solution when concerns arise.
PERSONAL PASSIONS
I love spending time with my family; I have four kids (each are two years apart). We like being outdoors as much as possible – camping, riding dirt bikes, etc. I recently got a pellet smoker and now spend each weekend smoking a new cut of meat.
