Woodward Headquarters

Mortenson recently completed the new Colorado headquarters for Woodward, which is a Fort Collins-based manufacturing company that integrates leading edge technologies into fuel, combustion, fluid, actuation, and electronic control systems for aerospace and energy markets.

The headquarters building is the second project delivered on the Woodward campus, a site that Mortenson helped transform from its former use as a golf course, and where Mortenson also delivered a 300,000 square foot manufacturing facility for Woodward earlier this year.

Mortenson helped make this HQ building a reality when the owner was faced with limited budget options that might only be met by market-rate spec office buildings. Mortenson worked with the owner and design team in an integrated target value design process that allowed for custom owner-desired options and a branded headquarters building on its campus within the owner’s budget. Mortenson also provided energy modeling services to ensure the building would perform as needed without negatively affecting operations costs.

The headquarters building houses corporate and office operations. The building has an open office concept and includes a first floor training center. The building has curtain wall and metal panel facade with a granite stone base around the entire perimeter.

We worked together as a team with 100% transparency on how the project was going; where the overruns were, where our challenges were and that made this a successful project.
