Bringing over 20 years of industry-related experience to his role, Josh joined our Mortenson team as a scheduling engineer in 2010 and has since worked his way up to his current position of Operating Group Director of Planning & Scheduling. Josh has experience with a variety of delivery methods on large, complex multi-phase projects to small, fast-paced projects. As the Seattle Operating Group Director of Planning & Scheduling, he has oversight of all planning and scheduling for Business Development, Design Phase/ Preconstruction, and Operations. Josh is also the primary Critical Path Method (CPM) Scheduler for many of our Seattle Operating Group projects. Josh balances his communication, team collaboration, time management, and multitasking skills to ensure that each project progresses smoothly throughout construction while working with operating teams to solve any arising issues.
In his role, Josh enjoys the challenge of determining the different types of planning and scheduling required for our various types of projects and working directly with project teams at the job sites to solve schedule-related problems. He is passionate about the many projects our team builds in Seattle and the wide variety of planning and scheduling challenges resulting from these concurring projects. In the future of construction, Josh looks forward to learning more about the construction of hydrogen plants for a greener energy source and all things sustainability to fulfill our goal of Building For The Greater Good and improving our planet.
Josh is an alumnus of the University of Washington, where he received his Master of Science in Construction Management. Outside of his professional life, Josh enjoys a variety of outdoor activities. You can find Josh having fun with his kids in the Seattle summer - camping, hiking, skiing, mountain biking, and his favorite, outdoor exploration in the form of caves, lava tubes, and abandoned mine explorations.
