Shirish Kavitake

As a Senior Planning and Scheduling Manager, Shirish applies significant industry experience managing large, complex, and multi-phased projects to deliver and maintain owner-focused and reliable schedules. Operationally, Shirish prepares and maintains cost- and resource-loaded schedules in Primavera P6, as well as earned value analysis, time impact analysis, S-Curves, and change management. He leverages a unique combination of business and technical acumen gained from experience in the public and private sectors and working on projects through various integrated delivery methods.
Since 2020, Shirish has been instrumental in the ProvidenceSwedish First Hill North Tower Hospital expansion project. He actively navigates significant hurdles, such as isolating the existing hospital from the new facility and overseeing the complex floor-by-floor demolition with ACM containment, to drive a more focused schedule and phase plan.
At Mortenson, Shirish additionally leads the Seattle Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) committee with passion. His commitment to fostering an inclusive work environment is evident in his approach to DEI, which emphasizes the importance of creating a genuine sense of belonging amongst all team members. Under his leadership, the committee organizes initiatives that celebrate team members' diverse backgrounds, engage in thought-provoking discussions surrounding workplace culture, and use different perspectives to drive ongoing improvements in equity and inclusiveness. He envisions DEI as a dynamic process of building an environment where every team member feels valued and connected.
Shirish holds a Master's degree in Construction Management from Florida International University and a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering from Pune University. He stays updated with technological advancements, having mentored the construction of an all-terrain robot for the Florida SWAT team and led his undergraduate team at the 'ROBOCON 2007' robotics competition.
An avid traveler, Shirish has explored 38 states, 28 national parks, and 14 countries to visit 40 countries shortly. He can often be found on long mountain hikes, eagerly anticipating new adventures in the Pacific Northwest.
