Markum Solar Energy Project

Markum Solar Farm, located in Bosque and McLennan Counties, Texas, represents Scout Clean Energy's first venture into solar energy. This impressive project, with a capacity of 209 MWdc and connected via a 138kV substation, is now fully operational, supplying enough electricity to the ERCOT grid to power approximately 32,000 homes annually. The project's completion was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, highlighting the dedication and teamwork of all key stakeholders.

In partnership with Mortenson, Scout Clean Energy constructed the Markum Solar Farm, a 13-month project that kicked off in 2023. Notably, the project was completed without any recordable incidents, underscoring the team's unwavering commitment to safety and excellence. Eric Grenz, Senior Vice President at Mortenson, emphasized that the project's success is a testament to their dedication to delivering top-tier renewable energy solutions and contributing to a sustainable future.

Beyond its technical achievements, the Markum Solar Farm project has positively impacted the local community. The team supported the Waco Compassion Women's Shelter by donating essential items and filling their donation room. They also contributed to the China Springs Cares program, providing 80 students with meals and snacks during their Summer Food Program. These efforts reflect the project's commitment to fostering strategic partnerships and a shared vision for a cleaner, more sustainable future while strengthening the communities where they live and work.
