Jeff Pittman
Senior Superintendent | Seattle
Jeff began his career in construction in 1978. In his long industry and Mortenson tenure, Jeff has established a reputation as a respected and diligent superintendent who is unflappable when challenged with complex project types. As a Senior Superintendent, Jeff is a well-rounded team member who uses his planning, communication, and field construction knowledge to bridge the gap between project supervision, constructability, and the craft workforce. His leadership ensures that field forces, trade partners, and suppliers deliver work that meets Mortenson's highest quality standards while keeping the customer's core goals in mind.
Jeff holds a substantial resume of working on sites that require navigating extreme levels of coordination, disruption avoidance planning, and challenging site logistics. His experience spans managing large-scale crews of up to 700 tradespeople to managing more agile teams within constrained sites. Some of Jeff's most significant achievements include high-profile projects such as the Providence Regional Medical Center Cymbaulk Tower in Everett, the Elliott Bay Seawall Project, and the substantial seismic upgrades and renovations at Harborview Medical Center. His consistent ability to deliver ahead of schedule, as demonstrated by completing the Providence project five months early, solidifies him as a trusted leader for critical projects. Currently, Jeff is overseeing the construction of Providence Swedish's new 12-story ICU tower in Seattle's First Hill community, featuring a 31-room emergency department, 24 advanced operating suites, and 72 acuity-adaptable ICU beds.
Jeff's passion for every aspect of his role, from contributing during the design phase to mentoring the next generation of builders, is truly inspiring. His work with local unions and industry partners, as well as his service on the Washington State Board JATC for Carpenters Apprenticeship Training, is a testament to his commitment to sharing his wealth of experience and fostering future talent. Outside of work, Jeff enjoys golfing, fishing, and continually striving to be the best builder he can be.
