With over 18 years of hands-on experience in the construction industry, Tamara has a wealth of knowledge gained from small-scale to large and complex projects. Joining Mortenson's Seattle office in 2015, Tamara utilizes her wide-ranging expertise to ensure an exceptional delivery for each of Mortenson's sophisticated projects. Her exemplary interpersonal skills and attention to detail complement her background in lean, integrated project delivery, and target value design.
Tamara has overseen projects ranging from $12,000 to $120 million and is a true believer in Integrated Delivery methods, having firsthand seen the benefits of a Lean Culture. Her extensive background in existing building and new ground construction projects allows her to apply her creativity, cooperation, and determination to each unique opportunity. Tamara has excelled in leadership positions and has a history of involvement with various projects in the healthcare market nationwide, hospitality projects in downtown Seattle, and the Climate Pledge Arena.
As Design Phase Executive, Tamara is an instrumental resource for the entire project team, reliably providing value to owners, partners, and stakeholders as she works to develop the most effective design and construction solutions for each project. Tamara enjoys leading dynamic teams of clients, designers, user groups, and engineers to ensure our team achieves the most outstanding value for the client's vision. She plays a key role in the procurement of WMBE firms, and she is an ally and supporter of women, LGTBQIA2S+, and BIPOC in the construction and real estate industries.
Tamara is a 2003 University of Wisconsin at Madison graduate with a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and Construction Management. She is a LEED Accredited Professional and a member of CREW Seattle.
Tamara enjoys staying active and admiring the beautiful Seattle area with her husband outside of work. You can find her in the summer camping, kayaking, and playing beach volleyball.
